Farmers' Markets are not only good for farmers, but for their local communities, the environment, and your health (by eating fresh & organic produce).
They also help to save on transportation costs & food miles, with a reduction of packaging and ensure the freshest local produce is available to consumers.
Producers selling at these markets must be local (usually 30 miles but can be 100 miles for unusual or specialized items) and must sell their own produce, which also gives you the chance to meet and talk to the farmer or producer about their products.
By visiting a Farmers’ Markets you help to invigorate your local town and invigorate the sense of community.
