FARMS, MARKETS & VEG BOXES

Across the UK there are numerous farms, farmers markets and veg box schemes that now help you to eat healthy, organic, natural, chemical free foods with ease.

The boom in organic fruit & veg box schemes, where seasonal, locally produced food is delivered to your door, covers the whole county – either with delivery from your local farmer, or national schemes using organic farmers from within the UK. Not forgetting the numerous farm shops supplying local communities.

Farmers' Markets are not only good for farmers, but for their local communities, the environment, and your health (by eating fresh & organic produce).

They also help to save on transportation costs & food miles, with a reduction of packaging and ensure the freshest local produce is available to consumers.

Producers selling at these markets must be local (usually 30 miles but can be 100 miles for unusual or specialized items) and must sell their own produce, which also gives you the chance to meet and talk to the farmer or producer about their products.

By visiting a Farmers’ Markets, buying from Farms or ordering Veg Boxes you help to invigorate your local town and invigorate the sense of community.
